Kate Ingold

Kate Ingold lives and works in Pasadena, CA. Touching on aspects of loss and repair, her work often begins with “damaged goods” — torn and discarded hand-sewn quilts, broken porcelain figurines and other objects, vintage magazines and books, as well as her own photographs. Sometimes she ventures into video installation and performance. Much of her visual work involves language. A collection of her poetry, Dream of Water, was published by the Poetry Society of America in 2008. She received her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1999 and will be receiving her Zen Buddhist precepts in 2022. Her education is ongoing.
