2:00 pm –  3:00 pm

On Thursday, June 11 at 2pm PDT, Bridge Projects is happy to continue its virtual Echo/Locate events with Kieran Dodds, a photographer based in Scotland. With interests in both landscapes and human activity, Dodds’ images center around the complex boundaries they share. In his Church Forests series Hierotopia, Dodds offers aerial images of Ethiopian churches committed to preserving local ecosystems. In his new series Border Patrol, the artist uses quarantine to examine the ways plant life is molded into human patterns of managing property and struggling to cultivate a sense of safety. In both, the borders between human life and plant life become sites of unexpected reflection. We invite you to join us in a conversation with the artist about these themes of preservation, stewardship, and borders.

Note: Echo/Locate events are interactive and communal. Audience participation will be encouraged.
